It was bouyed when I was there earlier in the summer, and it's still a bit early in the fall to be taking up the bouys for winter. It is awfully close to the route lake freighters take, and every now and again they manage to take away a bouy. The main theory to explain this involved bored helmsmen. We were there with Bill Robinette <dtekboat@ao*.co*>, with whom you might charter if you need somebody to take you out there. BTW, the line comes down to about midway along the port side of the wreck, and knowing that you can avoid going all the way to the stern first and getting lots and lots of pictures of lovely lingcod and running out of film by the time you get around the other side and up to the bow, especially when the alligator figurehead is what you went down to photograph, as my buddy discovered. -- Anthony DeBoer http://www.onramp.ca/~adb/ adb@he*.re*.or* (here) adb@ge*.co* (work) #include "std.disclaimer"
