Food Grade silicone grease is NOT suitable for use in systems exposed
to 100% high pressure oxygen.

Lubricants that are acceptable are HaloCarbon 25-5S, Krytox (by DuPont,
several grades available), and currently my lubricant of choice in
oxygen systems - ChristoLube MCG 111 (mfg. by LTI).

Just cleaning a regulator and re-lubricating with oxgen conpatable grease
is not enough for hp oxygen service. All "soft" parts must be oxygen
compatible and oxygen clean. This means replacing all the black rubber
orings with Viton, Silicon, or butyl orings. Also, HP seats must be
evaluated for oxygen compatability, and nylon hp seats are NOT acceptable
for use in hp oxygen systems.

Even after proper cleaning and replacement of soft goods, the oxygen system
should be turned on very slowing to reduce the heat of compression that
can occur internally in the regulator, the space between the valve face
and the regulator 1st stage, etc. (adiabatic compression).
