No no -- you got it wrong --- When I say cary the gear you need for your most dangeous dive on all your dives I mean the basic rig -- regulators, timing devises, harness/bc, reel, lift bag, signaling devices, safety gear etc. much is interchangable depending on the conditions you are diving in. thermal protection changes, gas suppply changes etc. My basic divign rig consists of: harness / back plate single dive rite wing -- large for doubles -- jr for singles belt pouch (for compass, 2nd computer, come-to-me float - tables - slate) back plate pouch (2nd come to me float - flares, dye marker, 4 cyalume sticks, two power bars and space blanket) depending on dive 1 - reels (one alwys 2x depth of water diving in 2 lift bags (one main and one emergency bag two regulators (class A type) one on long hose one brass pressure gauge on the BC inflator hose is the UK remora knife inthe harness is a 4 cell flash light attached to the belt is the cannister light when appropriate Thats it --- at this point all i need to determine is how long and how deep then add tanks. If diving singles in the carib -- I put another 2nd stage on one reg. when diving deco sling deco bottles with clearly marked dedicated regulators wth mouthpiece barriers. very simple -- very clean and a breez to transport. The mindset however is always the same -- get there safely and return safely. tcbb Joel Silverstein
