Dear John, I just had a good laugh. I appreciate you putting this all into clear perspective. Yes, it is true that planning an air dive to 130 fsw for 25 min will require (on USN tables ) a 3 and 18 minute decompression at 20 and 10 fsw respectively and that if those who frequent the list dont know that they probably should ask the questions clearly as opposed to being true dumb asses. As personal preferences go, mine is real simple -- use the equipment and techniques for your most dangerous (risk assesed dive) on every dive and this way you are always prepared. Carry all the gas you need to do a particualr dive and most importantly know when to say "I am not gonna do this dive today, I can dive tomorrow." take care Joel Silverstein SUB AQUA MAGAZINE
