The dateline show (I did not see it) did not show anything close to the truth-I konw the truth (most of it anyway). These Police divers, who NEVER dive this deep (unless while diving on their own ONCE IN A BLUE MOON), started diving the crash site using single 80's, viking dry suits, no BCD's, positive pressure AGA masks, no backup masks or regs, and were scared shit. This was only the tip of the iceberg. These Police and fire dept. divers are great at no vis, 30-40 deep in the hudson river, looking for bodies and evidence, but they were in way over their head on this one-and they know it. They have ZERO diving experience and training at these depths amongst dangerous wreckage, and it was unfortunate that local politicians and the US Navy placed these divers at extreme risk for the recovery, not rescue, of bodies. I apologize to the FEW PD and FD divers that were capable of these dives, but then those that were capable were using the wrong equipment anyway. Safe diving, Raimo.
