Anybody see the latest Rodales Scuba Diver? There's an article about Moskito Indians in Honduras diving for lobster. Apparently, they used to freedive for them, but the demand for lobster is such that somebody came up with the bright idea of giving them tanks. No training, no gauges, they just make dive after dive to about 100 feet (they've driven the lobsters deeper and deeper) and at the end of the day all of them are bent, some very seriously. There's no real technical information in the article, and it doesn't appear that anyone is even taking advantage of studying them to learn more about tables, (ghoulish, but...) but a few organizations are trying to give them some training. Thought I'd mention this article for anyone who might be interested. ======================================================= Roger Carlson w 310-812-0430 somewhere off Hermosa Beach, CA f 310-812-1363 roger@ch*.sp*.tr*.co* h 310-frogger =======================================================
