Early in my diving career I used to routinely feel definite narcosis at 90-100 feet, and my first few dives to 125' really hammered me -- even in clear water/no current/no stress situations. Now I can't detect anything shallower than about 160 feet anymore, but I don't know if that's because I'm "acclimated", or if it's because I have sustained sufficient brain damage that I can no longer detect subtle symptoms. My hunch is that it's a combination of both.
