That's fine now... a few other subscribers explained me that.

I believe that one this one, you are wrong. Me and others are trying to
understand the incident. There is no intention to make trouble. I believe
that there is something to learn out of each one... for the diver, for the
lifesavers and of the project director.

Here are some observations:

1. In the Doing it Right video, you mention that each cylinder is inspected,
analysed and the content is recorded in a book. Was the support diver
cylinder inspected that way?

2. How the hell can someone not trust is gauge for a dive at that depth? I
know that Exley got a stucked needle for a dive to more than 800 feet, but if
it is suspected that a needle may get stuck at 120 feet, there is a need for a
better, more reliable gauge.

3. There is no need for a gauge to return safely to the surface. If the diver
is just a little bit aware, he will find that the regulator becomes harder to
breathe before running out of air. He should have enough time to go back to
the surface without any harm (I practiced that at different depths, using
different regulators and it work with most of them).

4. The diver had a lot of gas on him. It should be clear that diver safety
has priority over the goal for the dive. Did he not use the gas because he
did not want to jeopardize YOUR dive?

5. The diver should be able to clear a regulator when getting one in his
mouth. Except if he has is head tilted on the wrong side while getting a
Poseidon Jetstream or if he gets the regulator upside down. May be he got
water before he got the regulator?

This incident was easilly preventable and I hope that mesures will be taken so
nothing similar happens again.

My name is Michel Therrien. If you want my address and phone number, tell me,
I'll be please to give them to you. And,... I will also be glad to be
evaluated by one of the most talented divers on this planet. You're welcome
to come here to do so.

Me and many others on this list are not fighters. We like to talk about
diving and to learn. And there is something to learn out of any event like
this one. For you, there must be a list that discuss wrestling somewhere on
the internet... you should look at it.

Should the incident turned out in being an accident, it is my opinion that
this would have been as equally stupid as the Great Lakes accident. Would you
have been as much critical to the divers as you were for the Great Lakes
divers?
