I must confess that I, too, have been enjoying the discussions on this list without sending a proper introduction. I was certified for open water in 1979, but didn't really start diving until ten years later when my wife and I took the open water course together. Since then we have spent much time snorkeling and diving the springs in Florida (at least 50 of them, at last count). We have yet to go beyond cavern diving--and probably never will--but I am very interested in the technical diving that's being done and the people who are doing it. I've been a "dry" caver for a couple decades now and enjoy talking to some of the cave divers I've come to know. To sum up: I can't afford trips to exotic islands, I'm a'gin the stripping of shipwrecks by recreational divers, and Sheck Exley was (and still is) my hero. --Rodger Ling Chattanooga, Tennessee
