Now you've lost me - I thought you wrer talking about the material. The molded polyurethane is more resiliant, if that is what you mean, fiberglass would be good as well, but again difficult and requiring a mold. In fact it would be ugly but real strong. AUL did make some pvc 10 amp lights that will take an extreme beating. As far as burn time the number one burner is the AUL "5 hour Jackson" which has a slightly larger diameter case (could be in PVC if needed) amd has a 20,000 ma nicad pack. I have one of these that I use for Mexico and caves like Manatee, where you need to have a five hour light (50 watt). Yu can use lithium batteries right now , but hey must be idoded and usually throwhn away - the charging tolerances are too impractical. $50 worth will fit in a light and burn it ten hours. The reason we do not use them is that you can not test them. $100 worth will burn one of my scooters for 5 hours, but I get 2 1/2 hours now with no hassle, and can go to five hours with a double nicaad pack, again something I understand and have proven. - G George M.
