George,

There are really only two issues here:

(1) How many people really have PFO
(2) Do PFOs contribute to AGE in someone who is "bubbling"

The evidence, not opinion, seems to say

(1) A lot of people have PFOs
(2) In autopsied people who die of AGE, they don't have PFOs

Science can rarely prove a negative, so you cannot say that all PFOs are
safe to dive with or that they never contribute to AGE - but there is not
any objective/dive data that I have seen that says they create the
*theoretical* problem we have assumed.

not flat
