This is really weird - I thought those bondage wings had 80 pounds of lift.
Putting weight on stages is nuts, but then so is buttmounting a light. Why is
it
always a whole string of convoluted crap in these cases?

Remember Alan Johnusitis? He got it in the entrance of Ginnie with two 102
stages (like putting weight on a proper stage - not calling Alan a stroke, as
he
ws a real nice guy, but whoever told him to do this is a stroke, or
instroketor,
if you will). I know this guy's instructor, and obviously somebody other than
that influenced this rig job.

Get the tape, all of this stuff is discussed and shown - there is no reason
to do it wrong . Sam is right about this weight thing - you have to figure both
ways, all the way through the dive - can't have to much to start with or too
little to end with, but he gear has to be thought out.

This is one reason to use a proper dry suit, and not some neopreme piece of
shit. Use gators, not ankle weights, or get the suit taken in in the lower
legs.
Feet too big? - get gators.

Aluminum hundreds ar the worst possible tanks to use as doubles - they have
an odd diameter, making it difficult ot manifold them properly, and please do
not tell me this guy had independents , they are extremely buoyant when empty,
ans the pieces of shit are much like the genesis tanks in that they only hold
100 cu ft at 3300 (3500 for genesis). An aluminum 80 has 96 at 3600, so why
bother with genesis or al 100?

104' are aobut 27 pounds negative when full, and I wear them with one set
of
original ldive rite wings with no problem with a wetsuit and three luxfer
stages
(Mexico) - another 9 pounds of negative . If you throuw in a shitty scooer,
like
a dv3x , which is 11 pounds negative, you still can stay even, so what is with
thewe OMS wings?

By the way, who is the moron that came up wtih putting bungee on the wings
to hold them shut? This may fool a real stroke, but it does nothing for "drag",
or anything else, except screw you over when they fail and collapse. Has
another one inside it you say - only a stroke would have crap like this on
their
person.
