Subject: Re: Great Lakes Death Info.
eitherr one of us is wrong or there were TWO deaths. Info I have is was a
guy, he lived in lake villa...my buddy talked to the father who said his son
died in lake superior while
scuba diving last week. father was taking care of money matters for dead son.

whitefish bay is one of the best dive sites in the great lakes...it has
wrecks from
55' to 600' if you do not know your level and where you are diving then WHY
GO?
#1if she was inexp. she should have never made the dive(which is a very easy
one)
#2she should have not lost the regulator
#3her buddy should have helped her(thats what they are there for)
#4found her at 147' ????
most of the good wrecks are bouyed(a diver needs to do a little homework b/4
jumping in)
osborne=165'
cowle=210'
vienna=145'
comet=260'
zillha=275'
superior city=270=
aurina=420'
e fitz.=600'
panter=90'
indiana=80'
2 others at 55'-70'
sadie hawkins=90'

whith all of these wrecks she had some choice ,,,or to,,, travel norh 1 hour
to munising.
the deepest wreck of 6 is 110'.........the other 5 are from 20' to 60'.
sounds like a bad call on someones part
yes,,,it does hurt the sport..........very much.
i have friends that witnessed the winthrop harbor accident.
based on what they observed there was no way it COULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED.
a litany of errors....from diver up to boat captain.
tanks,
jim
