George,
Welcome to the "now" , it's never going to be like it was =
"back then".
The stroke to pro ratio will always widen just as seen on the highways =
and byways. I remember when we all strapped O2 between our small doubles =
and=20
hit 350 on air cause it seemed safe enough. Things change.

No. But I am tired of the "neuveau tekkies" and the instituionalized =
strokery that goes wtih it. I remember when we all started doing this =
stuff,=20
there were people who had been doing it years before us, and it seemed =
that the=20
"strokes" were the PADI officiousianados who blabbered about what we =
were doing.=20
We had a few weenies and teknos in our midst, in fact Bill Mee made a =
talking=20
wrist computer twelve years ago for deco diving, and we had a few big =
"hangers"=20
and other nonsensicals, but all in all it was a pretty tough bunch of =
guys and=20
the gear was basic doubles, harness, wings and skill.=20
Now, when I walk on a dive boat, it is like walking into an =
overeaters' gay=20
bar
