OK, so maybe beating him to death won't work in your state. Have any 
relatives of the Dozen Deaders sued you?

Don't eat mushrooms, the "higher court" I've refered to is my own, uppity 
reference for the forces of nature. 

The laws of physics were applied, instantly, without appeal, and they 
executed the diver in the water. It is this point that eclipses all else 
for me, that it is the diver who will pay, not the captain, not the shop, 
not the tank manufacturer, and while these people may be liable after the 
fact, to me, after the fact doesn't make any difference.

Unless, of course, someone is going to beat them to death...
