Joel, Out of those 22000 "paid subscribers" to SubAqua, how many actually receive the damn thing? This is the thrid time I have delt with you directly, and I still haven't received it. It's only been four months! Hell, I could have WALKED to Maine and back by now. You said you would look into it...........WELL?............. Again, I ask you............ How come you are the only one that can not get your mag to me. DeepTech can (Keep up the great work Curt), Immersed can, NACD can, NSS can, IANTD can........but you can NOT. What is up with that? I could understand if I owed you money, but this was paid for in full four months ago (would you like to see the billing receit, again?). I'm beginning to wonder is SubAqua is just a waste time and money. It certainly appears so in this case now doesn't it! Get with it man, if you are going to be a professional, then BE professional. You aren't pulling an AC on us are you? Pissed-off-ly yours ;-) Mike Tennant Tennantm@ao*.co* >Hey Joel, >How come ALL the local dive shops on LI can't give the mag >away. People take one look at the cover price ($6.95/issue) >and say forget it, it's too expensive. And at $39.00 per year >and 22,000 subscribers, that comes to $858,000.00 per year. >With Advertisers it's probably closer to $1,000,000.00 per >year. With that kind of income, you should be driving around in >a Rolls Royce. And, BTW, explain to me how come you are not >using 2nd class mail. Its cheaper than what you are using (3rd >class) and gets there faster. Or is it because, in order to ship >2nd class, the US Postoffice requires that 50% of your >production run is for paid subscribers. In other words, if you >have 22,000 subscribers, you have to print more than 44,000 >copies because you are shipping 3rd class. The quantity of >paid subscribers must be PROVEN to the Post Office >auditors. Don't BULLSHIT us Joel. Your mag is good and the >new format looks great, but don't try to pull a fast one on us >by telling us you have 22,000 subscribers. >>Dear Bernie, >> >>In reading your post you said: >> >>" To my knowledge, "Sub-Aqua" is not a technical diving magazine, though >>it does >>have articles dealing with technical diving (which magazine these days >>doesn't?). Since I haven't gotten it in quite some time, I can't comment >>further." >> >>So that you are more informed SUB AQUA is probably the only magazine that has >>consistently published more articles about technical diving sites than any >>other >>over the past 6 years. SUB AQUA reaches more technical divers today than >>anyotherspecialized publication.
