I just wanted to say a few things. I just got back from spending a glorious weekend at Wakulla (even if I didn't get any sleep last night *ahem* inside joke). Everything went right for us this weekend. The visibility is the best I have EVER seen diving in anything since I did my first checkout dive in Honduras back in 1981 to now. 250'+ EASILY, and the water had the perfect aqua blue. It was real amazing to me when I was doing my 20' stop today looking over the ledge and I could see line arrows on the line down at 120' below me. We had a bunch of new people show up this weekend. They all learned how we do things, and each and every one of them got a chance to dive as a safety diver on Saturday and Sunday. They all worked hard, and didn't give us complaints. They listened to how we do things, and why we do them our way, and all agreed that how we do things make sense. Even the diving safety officer from a certain University came out with the intent of just seeing how we run our operation (and he was duly impressed and wants to help us out on a regular basis now too!). A few people didn't show up. They decided that Ginnie Springs was a better place to dive then Wakulla. They weren't really missed since we had plenty of help, and they probably missed their chance to get on board right now since I don't think we're going to be taking on any new people for a little while. Oh well, how does that saying go? You snooze you lose? At any rate, enough of that. Let me just take a minute to say Thank you for all of the hard work this past weekend, it's the team effort that allows us to get our goals done, to: The new crew - Charles Sellers, David W. Draugtion, Lee & Roger Herring (no they're not married), Robert Walton, Jeffrey Roby, Scott "Like my tattoo?" Landon, Rick Riera-Gomes, Joe Everett Jr, Tony "I drove from Key West!" Martinez (BTW Tony thanks for showing up!), Bob Weis, Sue Harvey, Dawn Kernagis, John Renfro. The pro's - Ed Padgett, Keith Suderman, Peter Gomez, Mike "Sorry, did I wake you?" Collins, Alex "I got no sleep man" King. If I missed anyone, I'm sorry. I got only about 2-3 hours of sleep last night, and am ready to hop in the shower. Also, to the new guys, please send me your email addresses if you're "Online". Thanks again, Ken Sallot
