Excuse me if I was wrong I will e mail Kevin today and find out. At any rate terry did a dive on the atlanta and he also did the fitz which is well documented and both of these Larry and Terry have extensive backgrounds andd are excellent cave divers. Yes where george and a few others are involved Fla, cave poltics are rough but throughout the rest of the cave community it is rather peaceful Then again where George and his wars with a few others is concerned it is over the choice peice of cave diving real estate that exist. So I guess it is an unavoidable situtation and one I usually try to maintain a neutral stance in. When I get involved it is usally when attacks on others who do not deserve them or who are also equally as competent of divers note!! Larry Green and Terry Tysal are equal in abilities as cave divers. or like when he slams folks such as the two stated for busting there butts on this recovery and refers to calling in the pros. Well several of that team have been asked and declined due to work etc. George has an open invitation and I bet he will not touch it. Being called a mouth by George is funny considering the post he makes here. Anyway if my assumption that Kevin and Terry went to the bottom on the atlanta is wrong I apologize and I will contact Kevin and let him know I evidently posted a wrong depth. I know we plan to go there in Nov and our plan is to see as much of the wreck as possiable. Which most likely will not include going to the sand as I do not like added deco just for touching sand I would rather spend more time slightly shallower and less than 320 feet sounds good to me if I cab see the majority of the wreck at that depth. I know Kevin thinks that way too so I have no doubt the 104 meters is correct. Tom Mount > >>Hi George, >> >>just a historic footnote. I think the Atlanta mentioned here by Tom is the >>U.S.S.
