Dennis, Take your pick. The MK VI is a good scooter, might be better/cheaper to fix them up rather than buy new scooters. The Zepps are available either in a 100 meter or a 180 meter version. They are a rugged, reliable unit, and I can highly recommend them, but am not sure if they are "better" than a MK VI in good condition. One advantage of the Zepp over the MK VI is that the Zepp with full payload of batteries can be neutral as configured. The MK VI with full payload of batteries needs bouyancy tubes to make it neutral. I know that I would probably set my scooter up to be slightly positive so that I would have to chase it shallower rather than chase a sinking scooter deeper in the kind of dives you have planned.
