George,
I responded to you on compuserve when you stated I pushed deep air
diving and listed me along with Bret and Hal. As you well know neither
I nor IANTD push deep air diving. I do train divers todepths of between
160 feet and 190/200 feet. I do not personally dive deeper than 200
anymore on air and have not for several years. I think it is foolish to
dive beyond these depths on air. We recommend trimix below 160 but the
majority of folks have to experience the why before they accept the
recommendation.

In your own video you state dives in open water on air to 190 feet or
within WKPP operational standards. I will gladly quothe the wording if
you wish. I know and you know that on occassion support divers do go to
190 on air as implied in your own video. I do not think anyone would
think that is unsafe for depoisting stages for deco. I did not and have
not suggested or stated you allow divers to go deeper than this on air.
No one diving with you has indicated that they do either. In fact I
know you do not. Correct me if what I just stated is untrue and if it
is you need to reedit your video.

I fully agree the most dangerous part of your project is the drive to
and from and especially as your and mine driving habits are similar.
That is point A to point B as soon and direct as possiable. Not unsafe
but highly focussed on getting there.

I think you have an exceptionally safe operation and with all the man
diving hours and the decompression histories, the project is
absobuletly remarkable in its safety awareness and accomplishments.
Each member of the team should be proud of this acheivement.
