Just a little suggestion, since I for one am getting well confused here. Why don't we differentiaite between lifting bags (used for bringing a massive load to the surface from depth whether by careful buoyancy control, fire-and-forget or reel deployment) and delayed release surface marker buoys (DRSMBs, used for deco hangs and as an ascent datum, whether shot off a reel or deployed on short lengths of dedicated line). Following Reg's comment on not dragging 50 feet of line beneath you, yes it is a problem but how often are you going to be hanging for long enough to need a DRSMB when the water is so shallow? Cheers Jason
