This just goes to show you what happens when you are in a rush. Brett Gilliam sent me two faxes today and asked me to transcribe them and post them to the net. I gladly did so but was in the middle of my own projects and never thought to click on the spell checker after I hastily copied the faxes. This has resulted in a fair amount of grief being given to him from the many astute readers who took great pleasure in pointing out the many typos. So, let it be known, the typos were all MINE, and his original fax was without blemish! == The following message is being posted on behalf of UWATEC USA at the request of Brett Gilliam, CEO... ============ UWATEC USA Inc. To: UWATEC Dealers, USA, Canada, Caribbean From: Brett Gilliam, Chief Executive Officer Date: April 26, 1996 We have recently made some changes in management at UWATEC USA INC. I have taken over as Chief Executive officer (CEO) effective April 23rd. (See industry provided Press Release). In the process of making the transition to the new management team, our offices were closed on Wednesday, April 24th for one day. Unfortunately, some of our dealers were misinformed by an incorrect phone answering message and a posting on the internet that left the impression that UWATEC had closed its operations permanently. Nothing could be farther from the truth. This "Misinformation" was apparently disseminated by discharged employees seeking to disrupt our business briefly. UWATEC USA is open for business as usual. Orders are being processed and shipped. New product is en route from Switzerland including the new Nitrox version of the Aladin pro. The majority of original staff has been retained and are hard at work to serve you. We have added additional staff as well to improve our service. In essence, there has been no change whatsoever in our normal functions of day to day business except that four employees were let go and replaced. many of you have already called in and expressed your satisfaction with the changes made. but we expect that other obscure attempts at "dirty tricks" may yet surface and wanted to assure our valued dealers that no interruption in service has occurred and that UWATEC remains totally committed to the North American market and is aggressively moving to increase its market share.
