I am a drysuit diver, and I had a single badder BC fail when I was on the surface waiting to get out of the water. I found that the drysuit was not an acceptable back up to my BC. The surface conditions were in the 4 foot seas range, and my suit kept burping air at the neck seal. Had the failure been at the bottom, finishing the dive would have been no problem. However the surface time was a nightmare. My replacement for the damaged BC was the Diverite super wings (the ones George hates). My set is well made and it has the old power inflaters. I've looked at the new one with that funky power inflater, and I wouldn't buy it unless I could get it with older style power inflaters. I don't connect a LP inflater hose to the backup bladder. That keeps my hose count down to a reasonable level (5). Doing a manual inflation would be a pain, but I'd rather risk that than have the extra hose. Stephen Galperin
