Subject: Re: single/dual bag BCs - Reply
ok, thanks for the input so far. guess i need to clarify some things.
i dive in a DUI crushed neoprene drysuit (highly puncture resistant), and
use a OMS 85# single bag BC on a stainless backplate w/ 85 cf doubles, plus
toys. the 85# of lift from the bag is definately enough to pick me up if
the drysuit blows. i use the drysuit only for bouyancy control unless i
absolutely need the bag. i guess what i was getting at was considering the
potential for sharp pointyness on wrecks, and in the experience of those
more experienced, how possible is a puncture to both the drysuit and the
bag, considering the materials in each? basically, is the extra $, drag,
equipment clutter worth it considering what i've already got? again, TIA.
