Ask Steve Gerrard if tanks ever fail w/o blowing the rupture disc. Not to
mention the fact that many divers, especially cave divers double disc or even
plug the rupture disc.Tanks fail for a variety of reasons, usually involving
misuse or abuse, granted, but the airlines have no way of knowing the exact
condition of that tank.A vip is useless in many cases,as is a hydro
stamp. The airlines will not take a chance on the lives of several hundred
people to save some diver the price of an air fill.If they're empty,by all
means, pack them wherever you want, but if theyre full, pack em where the sun
dont shine.
