The address of ADP is (a typical long winded British address):
Advanced Diving Products
Unit 4
Abbotsford Farm
Blackberry Lane
Four Marks
Hampshire
GU34 5BN
UK
Tel +44 1420 561558
Fax +44 1420 561558 (the same)
Unfortunately, they do *NOT* sell to the public directly. The address
given recently (I forget by whom) - 63-65 Twyford Road, Eastleigh,
Hampshire, SO50 4ZG,UK - is for Sub Aqua Products *NOT* ADP. However,
they do distribute ADP's products to Joe Public.
Apologies for the bandwidth but I thought that this may avoid
transatlantic phone calls and confusion.

I use the Advanced Diving Product's Delayed Surface Marker Buoy. This
has an inflation cylinder (0.2 or 0.4 litres can't remember) that can be
recharged from your main cylinder (A clamp fitting). The bag is reddish
and pear shaped. The SMB has the disadvantage of being slightly bulky
but is extremely quick and safe to operate. This price is about 85 UK
Pounds. ADP also sell an emergency SMB (small sausage shape in red or
green) that is inflated with a small soda syphon type cartridge. We
carry these in case to signal the surface in the case of an emergency or
if the primary SMB fails. Cost UKP 40. I can get you the name and
address of the company if this is needed.
The other delayed SMB that I like is sold by AP Valves. This is a red
sausage filled by air gun or regulator. Stands up well and has an
excellent self sealing base - so much so that a over pressure/dump valve
is fitted. Cost about UKP 30.

Subject: inflatable surface marker buoy
I am looking for a surface marker buoy that can be deployed by a
diver
at depth, like a liftbag, will stand up on the surface like a safety
sausage, and will stay inflated. I want to use it in conjunction
with
an upline.
Billy Deans showed me a surface marker that looked like a heavy duty
safety sausage. It had a flapper valve at the base that allowed a
diver to inflate it at depth with a puff from a regulator, and then
remained inflated after it'd deployed on an upline. It was bright
red
and more easily spotted from a chase boat than a liftbag.
Does anyone know where these things are sold? Billy mentioned that
his
was of European manufacture. (I'd ask him, but the guy is as hard
to
catch as smoke).
