I'd like to quote from Dr Allan Kayle's "Safe Diving: A medical handbook for Scuba divers": Lactation: "Is it safe to dive while breast feeding?" The answer is yes. Diving will not affect breast milk production nor predispose to milk retention and mastitis. Although diving will cause a temporarily increased nitrogen partial pressure in unreleased breast milk, feeding is done at ambient pressure and any excess gas load to the baby will be minimal, or relieved with a good burp. So, yes, yes, yes, it is safe to dive while breastfeeding! - Gerrit ****************************************************************** G Conradie [\] Phone: +27 21 808 4452 (W) Dept.
