>>I had assumed he meant drained cylinders. If they are drained, what's = the safety hazard with putting them in your luggage? Are there any FAA=20 regulations that prohibit taking empty cylinders on a plane? I've taken=20 them as checked baggage many times (not hidden - just by themselves).<< Rich, Ok, I deserve that one. I guess I was the only one that thought Phil = was taking "loaded" tanks onto the plane. If that is the case, then I know of no regulation that would prohibit = it. No different than taking any item that is harmless. The reason why = I am so sensitive to that issue, is that I am told many divers try to = sneak full tanks aboard the scheduled flights. In all probability nothing would happen, but why take a change. Flame on, I deserve it! Sorry Phil, I misread your note. I was under the impression that you = were sneaking the tanks. MJK
