Subject: HEAVY! Coyne 120 tank

I just picked up a new Coyne 120 tank from a dive store here in Alabama. I was
expecting it to be similar to the Faber in weight, around 45 pounds empty.

Instead, it weighs 72 pounds with a 3100 PSI fill. This means the bare tank
weighs better than 60 pounds. Holy boat anchor! The manufacture date on the tank
is 1/96.

Has anyone else had experience with recent Coyne tanks? How does this weight
compare to the PST 120s? The shop had some 95s, and they seemed to be pretty
dern heavy as well.

I expect to use the tank for single tank diving, so the weight will not be a
problem.

Still, what a surprise.
