I forgot the most important reason why genisis tanks are garbage when doubled: you must use the worst manifold ever made outside of the "cheater valve" - the Sherwood D.I.N. This piece of shit is not counter-threaded like the Dive Rite and Scuba Pro, so when one side tightens, the other loosens at the center. It has a face ring and a lip seal - true genius . The face seal is loosened on one side or the other when the center post moves, blowing the o-ring seal, and the lip seal fails whenever it wants to. The Dive Rite, by way of contrast, has double barrel o-rings that allow the center piece to move without effecting the integrity of the seal. To further demonstrate the sheer stupidity of whoever designed this thing, the D.I.N. posts are cocked upwards so that you can be sure to knock your regulators off (break the DIN tube) if you hit something, or if the tanks fall over with the regulators on. This piece of remarkable forethought and engineering also allows the tip of the DIN post to collapse if the valve comes into contact with anything, like the side of your truck bed, denting the shitty brass they use and making it impossible to screw in the DIN connections. You can not re-tap it, as the brass is like butter in the first place. You get all of this for about twice the price of a Dive Rite manifold. As I said, only a complete and utter stroke would have something like this, and then only an obvious nephyte (and moron) would then come on here and argue why this is the right thing to have , and that I don't know what I am talking about. Good luck. - George
