Lawrence, we at WKPP mount the argon to the left tank of the doubles, or on the left hip on the waistbelt when sidemounting. The tank in either case is upside down, so you can operate the valve, and the hose runs under the waistbelt to the drysuit valve. In the case of tankmounting, it is held to the tank with a velcro strap arrangement, so can be released with one hand in case of snag, but stays with you due to the drysuit attachment. It would take the buddy to reeinstall it. The actual position is mid tank, sop as not to be too far back and add to yor profile, and not too far forward to interfere with the wings or stages. I tried putting a pony between my tanks a long time ago, and I got caught under the engines of a wreck and had to take my rig off to get out . I no longer put anything where it can get me, but I can not get it. The back side of doubles are an important area to keep smooth so as to be able to slide through a restricition or rough material without catching, and kind of act as a wedge . Be sure the argon bottle is not butt high, as it will ratchet you into a bad situation., Usually, having the valve within reach makes it easy to correct this. -G
