Harold (and Tech Divers),

I pretty much had the same thing happen to my Poseidon Reg. Ice caps.
I used to put pure food grade silicon oil (cost $68.00 for 16oz.) in
my ice caps.  Then one day my dive gear got pretty banged up on a rough
boat ride out to some Lake Ontario Shipwrecks.  The dive boat didn't
have tank racks, you had to lay your dive gear on the floor.  Every
time the boat hit a big wave the dive gear would fly 3 feet in the air
and come slaming down on the boat deck.  Needless to say the ice caps got
holes in them.  I have not taking the time to replace the Poseidon Ice
caps.  Over the years since I've found that Poseidon Odins don't need
the ice caps anyways.  My poseidon reg's work great without them.
