     I used Tequila until the day the cap leaked in my dive bag.
     Since then I have not used the rubber caps. The regs have survived 
     Michigan Ice Diving as well as Lake Superior.
     I don't think you can find much colder water :-)

Of course, you know that the instructions for freeze-proofing a 
Poseiden is to fill the rubber cap with *vodka* (this is no lie - our 
Poseidon tech got this straight from "the factory").
