I have not been using the Bridge II for very long,(about 10 dives) but so far so good. If you set the mixture to 21% it will NEVER default back to 50%, however, if you set the Bridge to 32% (for example, or anything other that "air") it will default back to the impossible mix of 50%o & 79%n when you remain on the surface for a few minutes. This feature forces you to reset you're mix after every dive, unless you are diving air. If you do not reset the mix, the Bridge II takes the worst case scenerio for oxygen and nitrogen in order to cover you're ass no matter what the mix. Although this feature can be a pain in the ass...I found it to come in handy when using two mixes on the same day. I got used to this minor inconvience after the first day of diving. I think that the main complaint about the Bridge I, was that it would go back to the impossible default mix after EVERY DIVE REGARDLESS OF THE MIX. I think that Dive Rite addressed this complaint in the most responsible way possible.Set it to 21% and you will never have to set the mix again....if you always dive air. As soon as you alter the mix, you are forced to start thinking about what you are doing...as it should be. My neighbors, fish, recently held an election. I was elected Emperor. (Much to my surprise) I am the "Emperor of Fish." I think I will like this job. My life really has changed since I put on a snorkel and mask Robert Maluso rmaluso@ra*.co* __________________________________________________________________________
