Jim, thanks *very* much for the post about Hasenmayer.

I simply wanted to add that Martyn Farr's book on the history of cave 
diving discusses Hasenmayer's life and accomplishments in considerable 
detail, if anyone wants to learn more about the man's life and career.

And Farr's book is a fine read.
