>General Note: Replies along the line of "only weanies, strokes (insert >your own derogatory term) use computers" ---------- See Eric maiken on this for the better explanation, but the model treats a slow ascent near the level of the profile like bottom time. This may also be a rusult of padding added by the manufacturer (the true weenies). You , the buyer are not a stoke or a weenie, just a sucker, as we say over here (there is one born every two minutes according to PT Barnum, and the dive manufactueres understand this all too well). Put another way, there is more to deco than Buhlman or any other single theory, but they are all very good at getting you out of short exposures without problems. For long exposures, things get tricky. It is more likely that you need no deco for weenie dives in the first place. Let me ask you this. You all saw Steve Irving's post about computers. You all own one or we would not be on the Net. For $69 you can buy DECOM. Why would any of you spend hundreds of dollars for a wrist computer? I don't get it. -G
