I haven't seen or heard of it for over a > year......I had rather hoped it had been withdrawn from production/sale. This was the policy at Brownies Third Lung before my tenure there. I developed a Recreational Surface Supplied Recreational Diver course that people who wanted to dive with surface supplied rigs only. It was a shameless copy of the old Basic SCUBA courses in terms of its limitations and course content. I also pursued getting NAUI to accept it as an entry level diver certification, but to no avail. Given the proper training and equipment, SSA (Surface Supplied Air) is an excellent alternative to SCUBA, and in some ways much lower risk. How does this relate to techdiving? stty SET COMMERCIAL ANOUNCMENT = ON Brownies Third Lung makes some neat In-Water O2 Deco rigs that connect to a CGA-540 oxygen bottle. They are much safer than the lunacy of suspending a cylinder in the water to bludgen the divers while they attempt decompress. The rigs were my original design, no great feats of engineering here, but they are functional, low-drag and unlikely to cause a head injury. They were not too expensive either. I no longer work for BTL and am not affiliated with them in any way. stty SET COMMERCIAL ANOUNCMENT = OFF dan@sh*.ne* mig@sh*.ne*
