SNUBA was advertised in Australia early last year (possibly even before 
this) as an alternative to SCUBA for use in shallow reef/protected areas.  
It consisted of a SCUBA tank on a floating pontoon with approxamitely 10m 
hose & reg attached which would then be towed around by the diver......a 
cheap (&IMNSHO) nasty surface supply (hookah) system.  It never caught on 
here, and I hope it never does. 
The system was advertised as been suitable for people with NO diving 
experience to "buy & try".  I haven't seen or heard of it for over a 
year......I had rather hoped it had been withdrawn from production/sale.
