Chris, It is well known that large divers who have enormous body fat content are better adapted to an ocean environment (see my treatise on "Homo Cetacea"). First of all, we float better, so we don't need b.c's - secondly, its not very likely we're going to freeze to death when the dive boat decides to go into dry dock for repairs in the middle of our dive, our blubber keeps us warm - and thirdly, female elephant seals will actually bring fish to us, mistaking us for their mates. And when you see us floating underwater, and it looks like we're asleep, its probably because we are (I always get sleepy after breakfast of 2 whole fried chickens and a dozen Winchells doughnuts). I only breathe twice a minute, because my mouth is usually full of food... Everyone talks soooo much about being in shape, and running 500 miles a day just to go diving - Me, I'll take all the free fish I can get from my "girlfriends of the deep" (Hey - don't knock 'em till you've tried 'em)... Later. Kevin HeyyDude
