The M25x2 is the thread size  (Metric, 25mm od, 2mm pitch)
The rest (guessing a bit here) are serial number ?, capacity in litres, date of
manufacture - October 1992, Supplier ?, working pressure.

Both M25 and 3/4 BSP thread sizes are common in the UK.  If you really have
problems telling them apart then apply rule #1 (this will require you to give up
diving) .  I now see the manifold v independants issue in a whole new light. 
George, you're right, MAKE them use manifolds.
