WRECKS '96, 4th Annual WRECK DIVING Symposium of the Metrowest Dive Club. The only Symposium in NE run by wreck divers, for wreck divers. MAKE YOUR PLANS NOW! Date: April 20, 1996, 8am-1pm, speakers party to follow @ Ebenezer's restaurant. Place: Keefe Tech High School, Framingham, MA 01701 Doors open at 8am, for registration and displays. Displays: wreck artifacts from our Members from the past two seasons, wreck gear setups,including lights, DPV's, single tank and doubles rigs, full face mask/blocks, etc. Over $3000 in door prizes and raffle prizes. Price: $12 for MWDC members, $15 for non members. Special group discounts are available for non members, contact John Lydon or Darius Arbabi for details. Speakers: Terry Tysal, first man to dive the Edmund Fitzgerald, will speak on his experiences diving this historic wreck and other new wrecks he dove this past season. Brett Gilliam, President of TDI, former deep air record holder, will speak on the future of wreck diving with rebreathers, the advantages and disadvantages for wreck divers. Evelyn Dudas, the first woman to dive the Doria, will recount her experiences diving the Andrea Doria over the years. Dan Berg, explorer, photographer and Author will give us a tour of 3-4 NY/NJ wrecks in the 70-150 ft range through the eye of a video camera. Afterwards, travel with us to Ebenezer's Restaurant for a Meet the Speakers Reception from 2pm - 6pm.
