Perhaps anybody can help me. In my diving-club we want to buy a new equipment for artificial respiration. For first aid in diving-accidents a 100% oxygene-artificial respiration is needed. I have heard of a recycling-system. So the used air is filtered and the co2 is absorbed. The recycled air can be given back to the injured person. With this absorber artifical respiration is possible for a long time with only a small amount of oxygene. Without the absorber you could only respirate for about 15 minutes. I am told with the absorber it is possible to respirate up to 5 hours. The used oxygene is replaced by only a small flow of new oxygene into the system. I have heard of a system called "wenoll-system". Does anybody have experiences with such a kind of system? Are there other systems? I think works like a rebreather. But it is used on the beach and for first-aid. Does anybody know more about such a system? __________________________________________________________ W.Weber Technical University Hamburg-Harburg VTII Eissendorfer Str. 38 D- 21073 Hamburg Tel.: +49 - 40 - 7718 2988 Fax.: +49 - 40 - 7718 4072 E-mail: W.Weber@tu*.d4*.de*
