REPLY --- Todd, the batteries do not really need offsetting, and too much weight has to be offset by the wings or drysuit, so find your ideal weight. I plan my dives to have a lot of backgas at deco to hold me down against a blown-up drusuit. The argon bottle should be mounted on the left tank, upside down, so that it dos not interfere with any other equipment, and so if the first stage fails, you can operate the bottle by its valve when you need it. A true drysuit reg will have a pressure relief valve built in, but you can buy them to put in an lp port for $30. I use a pony tamer with velcro so I can release it myself if I get "keyed" by the bottle in a restriction, or otherwise hung up. Looks ugly, works great. -G
