Sunday (yesterday) I was getting ready to do a little scooter dive, and I was sitting in the water waiting to get to my stage bottle (it was behind an instructor giving a briefing to her openwater class, so rather then be rude, I waited patiently for her to finish the briefing). While waiting, a buddy team started to exit the water. They had it all backwards, helmets, helmet mounted lights, etc. One of them showed me that his light (I won't mention the brand, but it was brown and square and firmly attached to his butt) flooded. He was impressed that it didn't fail, but it apparently flooded on him at 2500'. He showed me the test tube and how it was half full of water. I was dismayed, mostly because he was diving a clearly unsafe light. Any light that floods during a dive is what I would call unsafe. I informed him that I've never had that problem with my AUL spec 14. Ken
