Todd, the Gavin chapter was written eight years ago. Some of the items are no
longer in existence, like Scuba Pro yoke manifolds. My stuff is modern, mixed
gas with new equipment. Many of our guys still have the old manifolds - I use
DIN right down to my argon and oxygen bottles. Read on: my stuff is in caps I
am
not shouting , read on:

REGS BACK AND BLOW O-RINGS. MY REGS DO NOT HIT ANYTHING, THEY

ONLY NECESSARY IF YOU WEAVE THE STRAPS TO THE BACK OF
THE
PLATE INSTEAD OF THE FRONT, OTHERWISE IS UNNECESSARY

ZIPS TEND TO FIND A WAY TO LET GO, BUT THEY WORK, TOO.
ANYTHING IMPORTANT IS EITHER CLIPPED OFF IN MY POCKET,
WHERE MY SAFETY SPOOL IS, OR HAS A SECOND POINT OF
ATTACHMENT, LIKE THE TANK NECK O-RINGS THAT HOLD THE
LOWER END OF MY BACKUP LIGHTS. I HAVE A FOURTH BACKUP
LIGHT IN MY POCKET CLIPPED OFF, AND A SENCOND KNIFE
INSIDE THE HANDLE OF MY LIGHT. I HAVE SEVERAL DOUBLE
ENDERS CLIPPED OFF IN MY POCKET, A STOPPER FOR MY
OVERBOARD DISCHARGE IN CASE IT FAILS, A TOW CORD
EXTENDER, A STAGE HARNESS TO HOLD ALL OF MY STAGE
BOTTLES ON ONE CLIP , MY BOOK WITH SURVEY TOOLS,
SOME GLUCOSE, AND THE KEY TO MY VAN, AND YOU CAN NOT
TELL I HAVE ANYTHING AT ALL.

MAGIC BRUSH (JUST A LITTELE PAINTBRUSH)

SURGICAL TUBING, ONE PIECE, THE ENDS ARE HELD IN
BY THE ZIP TIE THAT HOLDS THE MOUTHPIECE. SHOULD I LOSE
THIS IN A DIVE, I DO THE UNTHINKABLE - I THEN BREATH THE
SHORT HOSE, AND CLIP OFF THE LONG HOSE.

ONE MORE REASON TO DO IT THIS WAY

IF YOU READ THE LAST SENTENCE OF THE GAIN CHAPTER, YOU
WILL NEVER HAVE TO READ ANOTHER WORD ABUT THIS OR LOOK
\ AT THE FILM AT ALL.
