You're gonna get flamed for stowing the long hose ;) but...zeagle makes a 
neat little stow tube for the long hose.  It's a tube about 2-3in. in 
diameter and about 10in. long made of stretch mesh.  The hose is run 
through the tube then a loop is doubled back into the tube as well.  I've 
never used one but it looks pretty effective.
