Since nobody has metion where they place their depth gage does this 
mean that you don't carry one since you "know" the max depth of your 
dive?  

What about us new cave divers?  I find it hard to take depths from 
your average diver as being gospel.  I like to be able to determine 
things that could effect my life for myself.  

I currently use a U.S. Divers Monitor I strapped to my wrist, but I 
can see how a computer would be useless with a gas switch.
