I don't know Bill Dooley, I only marginally know the name, so I certainly would have no reason or desire to call him any names. I also unsubscribed from Cavers and Techdiver over a week ago. I now access both through this account. I'm puzzled at how quickly you have rushed to judgement in every case assuming that I am the culprit when it was clear to so many that messages that contained insults to me and others on CIS were OBVIOUSLY not from me! The contents of this message are so odd and the insults so similar to others made by persons other than me who have a _long_ history of flaming and E-mail antics online that I wonder if IQs haven't simply dropped while I was away, to paraphrase one very butch lady. <g> I sympathize with your problems on Cavers and I regret that you felt it necessary to close it down once more, I see that Carl has decided to bring it back up again and I applaud his efforts. He also makes the statement that he reserves the right to dump folks who engage in flaming and inappropriate behavior--I hope he really means that. You guys have had your hands full dealing with the complaints, the fake E-mail and the general day-to-day BS that must surely have been the case with Cavers as things got out of hand. For what it's worth, I was never any part of any faked E-mail. I approached Cavers and Techdiver from the beginning in the same way I approached CIS' Tech & Cave Sections, with respect, good humor and sincerity. I hope that Techdiver and Cavers both will evolve into what they _can_ be, forums for mature, interesting, funny and vigorous debate information about issues that concern all divers and even non-divers interested in cave and technical diving. I know that there are a number of folks online that would like to be an active part of this online community but don't participate out of a concern about bogus E-mail, flames and general abuse. I like the rough edges on both lists, but I think just about everyone would agree that what has been going on is not what is wanted or needed. Best of Luck, JoeL
