Subject: Ever notice how narcosis, "hangs on"?

Has anyone else ever noticed that when you get 'narced' reeeeeaaaal baaaaad
(ie: deep air 200++, hard working dive...), then ascend to even as shallow
as 100 feet, the narcosis is maintained?

We are told that as soon  as the PpN2 is reduced the narcosis should go
away, but I've noticed that it doesn't always.

For the record:

                I don't do deep air anymore. I am the publisher of a mixed
gas table generator program, so I don't do "Recreational Anethisology".
