On a recent dive with a bottom time of over 199min (limit of the aladin's
display) and deco over 99min(also the limit of the display),
the computer sort of cleared when I got out of the water.

M- the pro only displays 199 before rolling over and 99 until the
deco gets less than that. It locks up if you don't clear it, so it
will not dispay the fly time nonsense or anything else but what you
just did (minus the rollover) for 24 hours. There is no problem with
it. When that happens, just uncork it and hit the little lithium battery
with a soldering iron momentarily to break the conection and it will
dive again right away.

Better yet, sell it and use the proceeds to by two bottom timers that
will last you for years, and never give you any silliness, or if you
must have a computer, buy the new Alladin which you can plug into your
personal computer and de-weenieize with a few keystrokes. I pithed one and
took it in Wakulla, and it never gave me any shit, even though I sent it up
with
a support divier from the 190 foot deco stop without letting it clear. When I
downloaded it for Beuchat, so they could check the profile against their model,
I was amazed at the display. We found three areas in Wakulla of temperature
variation that were entirely consistant, and clued us into where to look for
new
tunnel. - G
